T5 Kings & Queens of the Castle

T5 rocked up at Dover Castle last night (7 July ’22) and played a big part in the 2022 Commonwealth Games torch event, launching Poppy through the air over the head of torch bearer Ruby Hamilton. A cheer level 7 skill never performed before by the Twisters.

After showing the crowd much of their world qualifying Level 5 routine (with some adaptations due to being on grass) T5 athletes mingled and felt the love of the crowd. Not for the first time this season they enjoyed the spotlight, and well deserved!

Coaches, athletes, and parents had a great time and thank you to Anita Sedgewick and Dover District Council for the opportunity to be involved in this rare event. 

We are proud to be from Dover and represent our town and community all over the UK and abroad. The Twisters look forward to the new season and taking part in as many local events as our busy schedule allows.
