The entire VT programme braved the mind numbing South East road networks to get to the Bournemouth International Centre for the last competition of the season, and the biggest by far! For some in the club a 4 hour drive is a short one. Well done Twister travellers, as always we really appreciate your support.

Future Cheer's 'On the Beach' event is the largest of its kind in Europe and this year had some 9000 athletes take part. It is incredible to see all the new programmes and teams as the event grows even bigger, now spanning 3 days morning until night, taking over every room at the venue.

Clearly everyone is there to do their best and come away with a trophy. We shouldn't shy away from the fact that cheer is is a competitive sport. Athletes like to win whatever their age. What makes our sport different is the mass coming together of cheer fanatics, the teamwork, the friendships and the buzz created at a comp, win or lose. VT has many friends in the cheer world and the support and sportsmanship shown by the majority is out of this world.

So, to the weekends results: Fireflies (Tiny 1) - 8th, Ignite Mini 1 - 7th, Halo (Junior Prep 1) - 9th, Vortex (Youth 1) -11th, Fusion (Junior 1 Sm) - 4th, Nemesis (Junior 1) - 1st National Champions, Eclipse (Junior2) - 4th, Nitro (U17 Level 3)- 1st National Champions, V4 (U19 Level 4) - 1st National Champions, Blaze (Senior Level 1) - 6th, Inferno (Senior Level 2) - 1st National Champions, T5 (ICOED Level 5) - 2nd Plus a paid worlds bid for 2023.

An incredible weekend for the Twisters capped off with T5 securing a FC paid bid for the cheerleading worlds in 2023. The atmosphere created by the live band, worlds bid teams and their supporters was mind blowing. Our small town charitable club rubbing shoulders with the big cheeses at our first ever bids round was a proud moment. And T5 brought the house down. The Twisters extend a huge thank you to Future Cheer and all the programmes who gave us the biggest cheer. We love our sport and our cheer friends across the UK.
